The department was established in 2006 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yozgat Bozok University under the name Department of Health Institutions Management. On February 24, 2015, it was renamed the Department of Health Management by a decision of the Council of Higher Education. The department began admitting students in 2018 and, as of 2025, continues its educational activities with 396 students.
