Department of Health Management

The Department of Health Management at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Yozgat Bozok University, aims to educate qualified health managers who will contribute to achieving the objectives of the health system. In line with this objective, the department provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the systematic and conscious application of the concepts, principles, theories, models, and techniques used in the planning, organization, implementation, coordination, and supervision of health services.

The four-year undergraduate program offers students both theoretical and practical courses in the field of health management. Practical components of professional courses are conducted in public hospitals, university hospitals, and private healthcare institutions, depending on the course content. Students who successfully complete all courses in the program (240 ECTS) and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00 are awarded the Bachelor’s Degree in Health Management.

Graduates of the department may serve as middle- and senior-level managers in administrative, financial, and technical services within public and private hospitals and healthcare institutions. In addition, graduates who aspire to pursue an academic career may enroll in graduate education programs to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees. The Department of Health Management at Yozgat Bozok University also aims to contribute to the body of scientific knowledge through research conducted in the field of healthcare management.

The academic staff of the Department of Health Management currently consists of 1 Professor, 3 Associate Professors, 5 Assistant Professors, and 1 Research Assistant.
