Course Exemption Procedures for Students Admitted through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) or Horizontal Transfer
Students who have been admitted to the Department of Health Management through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) or Horizontal Transfer are required to complete the necessary forms by following the steps below in order for their course exemption requests to be processed.
Students requesting course exemptions due to other circumstances, such as Double Major Programs (DMP) or Special Student Status, should carefully review the relevant regulations and follow the procedures outlined below.
Courses successfully completed at a previous higher education institution will be evaluated for course exemption and semester/class placement (course transfer and placement) based on course content and ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) compatibility.
Students are required to submit the following documents in person to the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
Important Notice
Since the course exemption process coincides with the course registration period, students are required to initially register for first-year courses. After the exemption process has been completed, students will be allowed to revise their course registrations. Courses granted exemption will be recorded on the student's transcript and automatically removed from the course registration list.

Important Notes for Completing the Yozgat Bozok University Course Exemption Form
-
Students must apply for course exemption and placement no later than the end of the second week of the academic semester in which they enroll at the University. Students who enroll after the official start of the semester must submit their application within two weeks of their registration date. (Directive, Article 21/1).
-
While completing the exemption form, students should carefully match the courses completed at their previous institution with the courses in the most recent curriculum of the Department of Health Management at Yozgat Bozok University, taking into consideration course content, credits, and ECTS compatibility.
-
The ECTS value (or credit value if ECTS is unavailable) of the previously completed course must be equal to or greater than that of the corresponding course in the Department's 2025 curriculum. (Directive, Article 22/4).
-
Courses such as Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, Turkish Language, English, and General Mathematics should be matched with their equivalent courses.
-
A minimum content similarity of 80% is required for course equivalency. (Directive, Article 22/4).
-
For non-departmental elective courses, students may match any previously completed course regardless of content similarity. Specifically, students may designate any two previously completed courses as equivalents for Non-Departmental Elective Course I (ADSL-1) and Non-Departmental Elective Course II (ADSL-2).
-
Where necessary, two previously completed courses may be combined to satisfy the content and ECTS requirements of a single course in the Department. Likewise, one previously completed course may be counted as equivalent to two courses, provided that both content and ECTS requirements are met. However, more than two courses may not be counted as equivalent to a single course. Students are advised to review the sample exemption form for clarification. (Directive, Article 22/8).
-
If a previously completed course had already been granted exemption at another higher education institution, students must submit the original documentation from the institution where the course was first completed. (Directive, Article 22/3). These documents must include the course grade, ECTS value, and course content. If a previously granted exemption is not reflected on the transcript, official documentation proving the exemption must be obtained from the relevant institution.
-
Before submitting an application, students are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the principles governing course exemption and placement by carefully reviewing the Yozgat Bozok University Directive on Course Exemption and Placement Procedures.
