Orientation Program for Newly Enrolled Students Held at Our Faculty for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

The Orientation Program for students newly enrolled in our Faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The program was organized to help students adapt more easily to university and faculty life, familiarize themselves with the systems they will use throughout their education, and access essential information they may need at the beginning of their academic journey. Within this scope, informational sessions were conducted on various topics.

The program commenced with an opening speech by our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Doğan. In his address to the newly enrolled students, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Doğan provided general insights into the process of adapting to university life, academic development, and faculty life. He also expressed his wishes for a productive and successful academic year for all students.

During the continuation of the orientation program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Kesebir provided students with information about the use of BOYSIS. The session aimed to familiarize students with BOYSIS, a system used throughout their university education, and to raise awareness of the essential procedures they may need to carry out during their academic studies.

In addition, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sema Dalkılıç delivered an informative session on addiction prevention and awareness. Within this scope, particular emphasis was placed on combating online betting, games of chance, and gambling, with the aim of increasing students' awareness of the potential risks they may encounter in these areas.

As part of the session on student affairs, Osman Ülker from the Student Affairs Office provided students with information about the Student Information System (OBS). The session introduced the system that students will use throughout their university education and provided essential information to help them follow academic and administrative procedures more effectively.

The orientation program aimed to ensure that students begin their university journey better prepared not only for academic processes but also for the administrative and social aspects of university life. In addition to introducing essential student systems such as BOYSIS and OBS, the sessions on addiction prevention contributed to raising awareness and promoting a conscious and safe university experience.

Our Faculty will continue to organize informative activities to support the adaptation of newly enrolled students to university life, contribute to their academic and personal development, and provide guidance on matters relevant to their educational journey.
