The Yozgat Bozok University Health Management Student Society, composed of students from our Department, has been awarded support under the “Environment and Climate” Special Call of the University Student Societies Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES), carried out by the General Directorate of Youth Services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
A total of 855 project applications from 79 provinces were submitted to the call, which was launched in connection with the COP31 Türkiye process. Following the evaluation conducted by the Evaluation Commission, 304 projects were selected to receive support. The “Green Health – Environmental Sustainability Awareness in Healthcare Services Project” prepared by our Society was among the projects supported in the local project category.
The project aims to draw attention to the environmental impacts of healthcare services and to raise awareness of sustainability in the healthcare sector. The awareness of young people studying in the field of health management on this issue will contribute to the adoption and dissemination of more environmentally friendly practices in healthcare institutions of the future.
The supported projects will be implemented between 14 October and 30 November 2026. This period coincides with the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9 to 20 November 2026. Thus, our students’ activities will be carried out in parallel with the national climate agenda.
We congratulate the Society’s executive board, members, and faculty advisor for their contributions and wish them success throughout the project.
