The surveys conducted within the Rail Systems Machinery Technology Programme enable the systematic collection and evaluation of stakeholder views on the programme’s education and training activities. Feedback obtained from various stakeholders, such as students, graduates, employers and industry representatives, helps to reveal the programme’s strengths and areas for improvement in key areas. These include the currency of course content, practical training and workshop facilities, adequacy of laboratory and technical infrastructure, learning outcomes related to the maintenance, repair and fault diagnosis of rail vehicles, occupational health and safety awareness, sectoral expectations and graduate competencies.
The data obtained are regarded as an important source for determining the extent to which programme outcomes are achieved and for guiding continuous improvement efforts. In line with the survey results, concrete improvement steps are being planned to better align the Rail Systems Machinery Technology Programme with the current needs of the railway sector, enhance students’ vocational knowledge and practical skills, and prepare graduates more thoroughly for professional life.
