With a team of experts specializing in fruit, vegetable, vine, and ornamental plant cultivation and breeding, along with a well-equipped infrastructure, our aim is to educate contemporary and qualified agricultural engineers in the field of horticulture.
Horticulture is a significant branch of the agricultural sector, playing a pivotal role in innovative solutions for food security and sustainable agricultural practices. Our department offers a hands-on educational experience supported by modern laboratories, research fields, and experimental facilities. Our students receive a competitive education that prepares them not only for success in Turkey but also on an international level.
Our mission is to cultivate agricultural engineers who are analytical thinkers, committed to democratic and secular values, environmentally conscious, and capable of producing innovative solutions. Furthermore, by fostering collaboration with the industry, we aim to strengthen our research initiatives and disseminate our findings to benefit society.
Our vision is to contribute to science and society at both national and international levels by educating dynamic, environmentally aware agricultural engineers with leadership skills in the field of horticulture. To achieve this, we provide a continuously evolving curriculum and a robust academic team dedicated to excellence.
