My Dear Students,

Welcome to Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture. First of all, I would like to tell you a little about our faculty. Our faculty, which was founded as “Yozgat Faculty of Agriculture” in 1992 under Erciyes University, was affiliated with the newly founded Bozok University in 2006 and took the name “Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture”. Our faculty, which has undergone various name changes and is now known as YOBU Faculty of Agriculture, has 8 departments and is currently accepting students in our Horticulture, Plant Protection and Agricultural Economics programs. Our faculty, including assignments, has 47 academic staff, 10 administrative staff, 13 modern classrooms with a capacity of 638 students, 8 research and application laboratories, 1 computer laboratory, 2 archive rooms, 4 climate rooms, 2 conference halls, 2 meeting halls, a canteen, a grafted vine sapling production unit, a reading room and an insect museum, and offices in an area of ​​approximately 10,000 m2, continuing its education and training activities with up-to-date, renewable and feedback-followed course curricula. In addition to these, we have 3 greenhouses with a total area of ​​480 m2 and a 50 m2 equipped mushroom production unit right next to our faculty building. Our research and application activities and educational activities organized within the scope of contribution to society are carried out on approximately 3500 acres of land in 4 different stations under the supervision of the Agricultural Application and Research Center Directorate. Our faculty is the flag bearer in the areas of access in education and access in space.

As is the basic understanding of our university, the main approach of our Faculty of Agriculture is to be student-oriented in every field. Our academic staff has adopted the principle that the main focus of development in agriculture and agriculture-based disciplines is to train quality and qualified students. The main goal of our faculty is to train Agricultural Engineers who are strong, young and dynamic as well as experienced academic staff, high-quality and constantly updated curricula, who care about ethical values, have high self-confidence, are prone to teamwork, have developed social communication skills and analytical problem-solving skills, are conscious about the protection of natural resources, are open to changing technologies and methods and have a flexible perspective, and who will contribute to the development of the country's agriculture at a high level by aiming for lifelong learning.

Our university, which has institutional accreditation, is also a specialized university. Within the scope of the Regional Development-Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project, our university is a specialized university in the field of "Industrial Hemp for Biomaterials and Bioenergy" and while our faculty supports this mission in the field of R&D, our valuable students are also given courses and trainings related to our field of specialization.

We offer you the opportunity to go abroad with the activities of student communities. We especially include you in EU-funded Youth Projects. Our faculty also offers the opportunity to experience abroad with Erasmus+ within the scope of bilateral cooperation. If you are hardworking, organized and proactive, you have the opportunity to take part in national and internationally supported projects together with researchers. By taking part in these projects, you can ensure that your teaching activities are not limited to the curriculum. Another activity group that will contribute to your education is the career day events where we bring you together with the public, private sector and academia. You can expand your vision by participating in these interviews. On the other hand, the spirit of solidarity is kept alive with various social responsibility projects organized by our faculty. You can color your social life as well as your academic development by participating in events with themes such as motorcycle passion, camping passion, mountaineering passion. In addition to these, there are many facilities and student communities in our university for social activities. You can join subgroups within these communities and even take on tasks in your free time from classes. Spring festivals and graduation ceremonies are celebrated with enthusiasm in our university and you will have unforgettable experiences.
