Our faculty, which was established as “Yozgat Faculty of Agriculture” under Erciyes University in accordance with Article 16 of Law No. 3837 dated 03.07.1992, was connected to the newly established Bozok University in accordance with Article 1 of Law No. 5467 dated 01.03.2006 and took the name “Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture”.
The name of our faculty, which was changed to “Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences” with the Council of Ministers Decision numbered 2012/3640 published in the Official Gazette dated 10.09.2012 and numbered 28407, was changed back to “Faculty of Agriculture” with the Council of Ministers Decision numbered 2016/8555 published in the Official Gazette dated 08.04.2016 and numbered 29678 due to some problems with the legislation.
Our faculty started undergraduate education in the Department of Agricultural Economics in the 2010-2011 academic year, in the Department of Plant Protection in the 2012-2013 academic year and in the Department of Horticulture in the 2013-2014 academic year. Our faculty, where postgraduate education continues in the Field Crops and Horticulture Departments, continues its education and training activities with its increasing academic and administrative staff; modern classrooms, laboratories and social areas; research and application centers.
