Mission

  • To develop educational programs that adhere to the principles of a democratic and secular republic, nurture scientific, impartial, and analytical thinking, foster problem-solving, entrepreneurial, and innovative skills, and prepare agricultural engineers capable of contributing to national agriculture.

  • To design and implement research projects aimed at addressing the challenges of the country's horticultural sector, with a focus on producing applicable scientific results and disseminating them to relevant individuals and institutions.

  • To enhance collaboration with other universities, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and other relevant organizations for both educational and research purposes.

  • To share the knowledge gained from our department’s activities with society.

  • To follow and apply the latest technological advancements in knowledge dissemination.

  • To represent our country, faculty, and department by publishing the results of scientific studies in national and international peer-reviewed journals and participating in related congresses and symposiums.


Vision

  • To provide visual, auditory, and practical education in horticulture (viticulture, fruit growing, vegetable growing, ornamental plants), breeding, plant physiology, postharvest preservation, and market preparation based on national priorities. To train dynamic, innovative agricultural engineers who possess scientific and impartial thinking, problem-solving, and design skills, along with a strong environmental and social consciousness, and a well-rounded knowledge of horticultural practices.

  • To conduct R&D activities in collaboration with universities, industry, and private and public institutions.

  • To establish national and international collaborations in education, training, and research activities.

  • To disseminate research findings and scientific knowledge at both national and international levels.

  • To share the results of global and domestic research through scientific meetings.

  • To inform society about our department’s areas of expertise through social responsibility projects.
