Students in our department are required to complete an internship during the summer breaks between their 6th and 7th semesters. It is a priority for our department that students undertake their internships at private or public institutions capable of providing the necessary technical knowledge and skills. Students interested in interning at government institutions can apply to workplaces through the "Internship Mobilization" initiative. Those who wish to complete their internships in Yozgat have opportunities both within our faculty and at certain private companies. Some of these opportunities are listed below:

Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture and Gedikhasanlı Bilal Şahin Application and Research Center
(Location: Yozgat/Center)

Students can intern at the Gedikhasanlı Bilal Şahin Application and Research Center within the faculty or other application fields focused on horticulture. This opportunity allows students to apply plant cultivation techniques and gain hands-on experience in cultural practices such as fertilization and irrigation. Additionally, students can acquire extensive knowledge about various plant species, cultivation conditions, and management practices.

Deveci Basin Fruit Growing Integration Project Area
(Location: Yozgat/Kadışehri)

This company, established on a 5,650-decare area, grows a wide variety of orchard plants, including apples, pears, cherries, and quinces, grafted onto dwarf and semi-dwarf rootstocks. Students interning here will benefit from the expertise of an experienced technical team and will develop their skills in irrigation, plant nutrition and fertilization, plant diseases and pests, and cultivation techniques. The facility also offers technical insights into fully automated irrigation systems and support systems for dwarf parcels.

İlkser Greenhouses
(Location: Yozgat/Sorgun)

Operating on a 25-decare area, these greenhouses run year-round production with a one-month break for cleaning. The greenhouses are heated using geothermal energy, and plants are grown using soilless agriculture techniques. Students interning at İlkser Greenhouses will gain essential technical knowledge and experience in soilless farming, greenhouse operations, and vegetable cultivation, with a particular focus on tomato production.
