23.10.2025 – The “My First Year Conversations” event was held with the students of the Construction Department at Sorgun Vocational School. Organized within the scope of Peer Mentoring, the event provided guidance to new students through experience-sharing sessions by senior students.

21.10.2025 – During the field study conducted with students enrolled in the Surveying course, measurement errors and accuracy criteria were demonstrated through practical applications.

22.09.2025 – An Orientation Program was organized by our department for new students. Within the scope of the program, students were introduced to the school and department, and informed about academic procedures.

28.05.2025 – A technical visit was organized to SORKENT Housing Cooperative with the participation of our students. Students visited the construction site and examined the construction process on-site.

28.05.2025 – A seminar titled “Occupational Health and Safety in Concrete Laboratories” was held. Students were informed about the precautions that should be taken in laboratory environments.

28.05.2025 – A seminar titled “Important Considerations in Building Inspection” was organized. Students gained knowledge about critical issues in building inspection processes.

27.05.2025 – A final-term exhibition prepared by our students was held. Projects and models created throughout the semester were presented to visitors.

17.04.2025 – A seminar titled “National and International Student Mobility” was delivered by Assistant Professor Hasan Ulutaş. Students were informed about opportunities provided by exchange programs.

09.04.2025 – Appreciation certificates were presented to department academic staff in recognition of their dedicated contributions during the 2024–2025 Fall Semester. The ceremony was conducted by Associate Professor Furkan Çelebi.

13.03.2025 – A MEDEK process information meeting and internal stakeholder meeting were organized by the Construction Department. Quality assurance processes were discussed, and participants shared their opinions.

28.02.2025 – An information meeting was held regarding the National Internship Program and OKAF’25. Students were informed about internship opportunities and career planning.

26.12.2024 – A final-term exhibition was organized. Students presented and shared their projects and models prepared throughout the semester. The works attracted considerable attention from visitors.

25.09.2024 – Cooperation meetings were held with external stakeholders of our department. Discussions were conducted with Sorgun Municipality and various institutions, and the meetings were successfully completed.

11.11.2024 – A tree planting activity was carried out within the scope of National Afforestation Day. Students planted saplings in a designated area in our district. The activity contributed to raising environmental awareness.

27.05.2024 – A technical visit was organized to dormitory and apartment construction sites with our students. Students received information about construction practices from site managers and observed the construction process on-site.

08.05.2024 – The “Career Planning Construction Event – Meetings with Engineers” was organized. Engineers and architects from different disciplines participated in the event. Students gained valuable insights into professional experiences.

08.12.2022 – A technical visit was organized to ERK Construction Company. Students observed field applications and laboratory studies. The event contributed to transferring theoretical knowledge into practice.

17.06.2022 – Students visited the Sorgun Wastewater Treatment Plant construction site. The construction process was examined on-site. Students also gained information about civil and environmental engineering applications.

14.05.2022 – Participation was provided in the 6th Samsun Construction Fair. Students learned about newly developed construction materials. The fair was beneficial for following sectoral innovations.

28.01.2022 – A seminar titled “Advantages and Disadvantages of Steel Structures” was presented by Lecturer Abdullah Kadir Menge. The characteristics and application areas of steel structures were explained to students.

27.01.2022 – A seminar titled “Structural Damages and Their Types” was delivered by Lecturer Kübra Coşar. Structural damages and their causes were explained in detail.

05.01.2022 – A seminar titled “Seismic Loss Assessment of Seismically Isolated Buildings” was presented by Shoma Kitayama. Loss assessment in seismically isolated buildings was discussed, and participants were introduced to current engineering approaches.

24.12.2021 – A seminar titled “Sustainable and Innovative Concretes Suitable for 3D Printing Technology” was presented by Lecturer Eyyüp Orhan. Students were informed about innovative concrete technologies.

14.12.2021 – Students visited the Yozgat Airport construction site. Project and manufacturing processes were explained by site authorities.

27.04.2021 – A seminar titled “Earthquake-Resistant Structural Design” was organized by Lecturer Abdullah Kadir Menge. Students were informed about earthquake-resistant building design processes.
