Program Purpose

The Construction Technology Program aims to educate qualified technical personnel who possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for the preparation of architectural and structural projects in accordance with international quality standards. The program aims to train individuals who can perform quantity surveying and cost estimation processes, use land surveying and mapping instruments, prepare construction site work schedules, apply their knowledge effectively, work independently with accuracy and discipline, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively.

The main objective of the Construction Technology Program is to train graduates who can actively participate in the construction of structures such as dams, roads, airports, and residential buildings; work in construction supervision and inspection companies; and serve as qualified technical personnel in the natural resources, transportation-highway, construction departments, and material testing laboratories of public institutions and local governments.

Career Opportunities

Within the scope of the Human Resources Development through Vocational Education Project (HRD-VET), educational programs based on Level 5 occupational standards have been developed to strengthen employment-oriented cooperation between the labor market, vocational schools, and vocational and technical secondary education institutions.

The Construction Technology sector is continuously and dynamically developing due to rapidly changing global market conditions and increasing competition. Due to these characteristics, the Construction Technology sector is considered a strategic industry that receives significant attention from countries, and governments develop special plans and policies for this sector.

Especially in today's rapidly globalizing business environment, competition has intensified significantly, and industrialized countries implement special policies to protect this sector and improve its competitiveness. Since the construction sector acts as a driving force in all economies, it is a field where significant investments and incentives are continuously required, contributing to increased employment opportunities.

Graduates may be employed in construction companies producing goods and services, architectural offices, companies carrying out on-site construction activities, concrete plants, insulation companies, and relevant public institutions and organizations.

Vertical Transfer Opportunities

Graduates of the Construction Technology Program may apply for transfer to the following undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS):
