The vision of the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Communication, Yozgat Bozok University, is to:

  • -provide students with a strong journalism education and educate them as critical and creative journalists committed to professional and ethical standards;
  • -equip students with the skills required to adapt to the rapidly changing dynamics of the media environment, use technological and digital media tools effectively, and pursue successful careers in the media industry;
  • -educate individuals who have a comprehensive understanding of social issues, are sensitive to diversity and different perspectives, demonstrate critical thinking skills, and possess strong communication skills;
  • -encourage creative and innovative journalistic practices and enable students to develop diverse approaches to news production and communication;
  • -provide students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values required for successful journalism careers at local and national levels and prepare them to become leading and effective professionals in the media industry.
