The Department continues its efforts to ensure alignment with the Bologna Process. The Bologna Process is based on a vision that aims to:

• -establish easily understandable and comparable higher education qualifications and degrees;
• -implement a two-cycle degree system in higher education consisting of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees;
• -implement the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS);
• -facilitate and promote the mobility of students and academic staff;
• -establish and strengthen quality assurance systems and networks in higher education;
• -enhance the European dimension of higher education;
• -promote lifelong learning;
• -ensure the active participation of students and higher education institutions in the process;
• -enhance the attractiveness of the European Higher Education Area.

Within this framework, the Department’s curriculum has been updated and revised to provide students with an education that reflects current scientific and technological developments.
