Students enrolled at Yozgat Bozok University for the 2026–2027 academic year who are studying in undergraduate programs (excluding the English Language Teaching and English Language and Literature programs) or thesis-based master’s programs and wish to attend the Optional English Preparatory Program must follow the steps outlined below.

Applications for the Optional English Preparatory Program will be submitted online through this page between September 7 and September 11, 2026.

Students Must:

1. Submit an application using the “Apply” button below, regardless of whether they selected or did not select the option to attend the Optional Preparatory Program during ÖSYM e-registration.

Applications will close on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.

2. Students who complete their online registration through this page will begin attending Optional English Preparatory Program classes as of Monday, September 14, 2026. Classes will be held in the classrooms of the School of Foreign Languages on the Bilal Şahin West Campus (Block C of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Building).

3. Students will take the Placement Test at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026. A separate announcement regarding the exam will be published. The Placement Test score will not affect students’ registration status and may be used solely for placement into appropriate proficiency levels.

Additional Information

4. Students who have registered for the Optional English Preparatory Program but subsequently decide not to attend must submit a petition to the School of Foreign Languages no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. Their final registration will then not be completed, and they will continue their studies in their departments by registering for first-year courses.

5. The Optional English Preparatory Program provides intensive English instruction at the A1–A2 levels during the fall semester and at the B1 level during the spring semester. Students enrolled in the Optional Preparatory Program may not take courses from their departments for the one academic year in which they are enrolled in the program.

6. The weekly course load in the Optional English Preparatory Program is 24 hours.

Important Notes

• Students enrolled in the English Language Teaching and English Language and Literature programs are required to attend the Compulsory English Preparatory Program and therefore cannot apply for the Optional English Preparatory Program. These students should follow the announcements regarding the Compulsory Preparatory Program.

• The Optional English Preparatory Program is available only to undergraduate and master’s students. Applications from students enrolled in vocational associate degree programs are not accepted.

• There are 32 places available for undergraduate students and 3 places for master’s students in the Optional English Preparatory Program. If the number of applications exceeds the available quota, the relevant provisions of the Yozgat Bozok University School of Foreign Languages Education and Examination Directive will apply.
