School of Foreign Languages was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 25.01.2016 and published in the Official Gazette dated 8 April 2016 and numbered 29678. The Department of Foreign Languages affiliated to our Rectorate was closed and the staff of 10 academic staff working in the department was transferred to our School. In total, we have 10 permanent teaching staff. Our school is located on the last floor of the Faculty of Communication building on the Erdaoğan Akdağ East Campus.
Our School carries out the Compulsory Preparatory Class of the Department of English Language and Literature of the Department of Western Languages and Literature of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Compulsory Preparatory Class of the Department of English Language Teaching of the Department of Foreign Languages Education of the Faculty of Education, the Optional Preparatory Class formed by students applying from different academic units of our University, and the Vocational English courses opened in other academic units and 5i Basic English courses.
As the School of Higher Education, we consider the most important components of our mission to prepare our students who are entrusted to us at the first stage of university education as individuals who can think critically, are open to change and development, are aware of their responsibilities, are committed to national, moral and universal ethical values, and have high-level language skills.
