SUMMER INTERNSHIP PRINCIPLES

As stated in the 33rd article of "Yozgat Bozok University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations", students are obliged to do internship.

Internship Application: The student who presents the institution or organization that he/she intends to do his/her internship to the approval of the department chair can start his/her internship only if the internship commission accepts the internship place and approves the application. The student should send the "relevant authority" letter that he received from this institution, which is deemed suitable as an internship place, to the internship commission.

Place of Internship: Internships can be done in enterprises and/or laboratories where at least one chemist or chemical engineer works and carries out production, research or laboratory studies related to chemistry. The internship committee decides whether the internship institution is suitable (upon the application of the student). Students considering internship in more than one institution will have to obtain eligibility approval separately from the internship commission for each institution.

Internship Duration: The internship period of the students of the Chemistry Department is determined as 30 working days.

Internship Period: The student can start the internship at the end of the sixth semester at the earliest and can do it in one go. Students who are in the state of graduation can also do their internship within the academic calendar period in order not to disrupt their courses.

Internship Report: The student who has completed his internship should explain the work he has done during the internship period in the internship notebook at appropriate places.

Evaluation of Internship Report: Internship reports are evaluated by the internship commission. If the internship reports are not found appropriate, the student has to prepare a report again. Students who do not successfully complete their internship studies cannot receive a graduation certificate.

Internship Commission: This commission may decide to accept the internship, or reject some or all of it, based on the information in the internship book, documents and, where necessary, the control and interview.

Internship Confidential Evaluation Document: This document, which is defined as the registry slip, is filled in and approved confidentially by the company at the end of the internship. Registry slip documents to be submitted without approval or in an open envelope will be deemed invalid. In order for the submitted internship book to be evaluated, the internship registry slips must be forwarded to the internship commission members.

Internship Reports Storage Period: Internship reports are kept until the student graduates. Reports not received by students are retained for one more year at most.
