In our department, the language of instruction is Turkish and in addition to the undergraduate program, master's and doctoral programs are also offered. With the arrangements made in the 2022-2023 academic year, the course programs have been rearranged to provide contemporary and practical education. Undergraduate level education is planned for four years (eight semesters) and requires 240 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). In addition, at the end of the sixth semester, our students are obliged to do an internship.
In the Chemistry Department, there are Analytical, Inorganic, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry departments. There are 7 Professors, 2 Assistant Professor Doctor, 1 Research Assistant and 1 Lecturer in the Chemistry Department.
The chemistry department has reached a level that can provide a modern and dynamic education within its infrastructure and possibilities, with its teaching staff and newly acquired laboratory facilities.
Our department has a total of 7 research laboratories, 2 student laboratories (each with an area of 50 square meters, where 30 students can work together at the same time), 1 instrumented analysis laboratory and 2 material warehouses. In addition to learning the laboratory environment, the use of various devices, reinforcing the concepts that students learned in the classroom, and a better understanding of data analysis, they will also gain skills in writing reports, preparing presentations, and discussing scientifically with others.
Classrooms in the amphitheater no 201, 202, 203 and 204 in the B block of our faculty belong to our department and are equipped with the latest technology educational materials. Classroom 201 is 80 square meters (with a capacity of 84 students), classroom 202 is 40 square meters (with a capacity of 60 students), and classrooms 203 and 204 are 60 square meters (with a capacity of 72 students).
