Between 2018 and -2020, the BAP project titled "Archaeological Survey in the Province and Districts of Yozgat", chaired by Assoc. Prof. Hacer Sancaktar, a faculty member of our de-partment, was carried out. The aim of the project was to obtain information about the Classi-cal, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods of Yozgat Province, which has not been explored much until now. The absence of extensive research and excavations of the cultural remains of these periods in the region enabled the studies within the scope of the project to make new contributions to science on the settlements and architectural structures of the period. The studies carried out are of a nature that will form the basis for the systematic arc-haeological excavations to be carried out in the region in the future.
