PREHISTORIA
Prehistory Archeology, which also means Prehistory, is a science that investigates all material and spiritual developments about human beings throughout the stone ages. Among the auxiliary branches of science it benefits from; Fields such as zooarchaeology, paleobotany, palynology, climatology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, geology, paleoanthropology, ecology, dating methods, chronology, ethnology, economics, archaeometry can be counted. In terms of the study areas of Prehistoric Archeology; techno-typologies of chipped stone, ground stone, bone, horn and wooden tools and art, ornamental objects and iconography, as well as settlement styles, life and belief systems, burial customs, economic models, demography and natural environment, glaciers, chronology and stratigraphy, human behavior and Issues such as migration routes are among his main areas of interest.

PROTOHISTORIA AND NEAR EASTERN ARCHEOLOGY
Protohistoria and Near Eastern Archeology starting from the Neolithic Age (about the middle of 10,000 BC), when agriculture began and the first settled life in human history, the Chalcolithic Age (5,000-3,000 BC), Bronze Ages (3,000-1,200 BC) and Iron Age (1,000- BC) 500), examines the cultures and civilizations that spread to Anatolia and Near East (Continental Greece and Aegean Islands, Crete, Cyprus, Balkans, Caucasus, Iran, Mesopotamia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt). The transition to settled life, which is one of the most important processes in the history of humanity, and the transition to the first historical ages with the discovery of writing are within the historical process covered by the department. In addition to the cultural history given in the lessons, the subjects are examined in detail with visual materials.

CLASSICAL ARCHEOLOGY
Classical Archeology covers a period that includes Greek and Roman civilizations, also called Antiquity. Within the scope of the education and training of the Classical Archeology Department, the Minoan Civilization in Crete (2800 - 1050 BC), the Mycenaean Civilization in Continental Greece (1600-1200 BC) and the Protogeometric - Geometric Period of Aegean Civilizations, especially Western Anatolia (1050-700 BC) ), Archaic Period (650-480 BC), Classical Period (480-330 BC), Hellenistic Period (330-30 BC) archeology and Roman Imperial Period (30 BC - AD 395) archeology. Many artifacts from Anatolia and outside Anatolia are visually introduced in the lessons about ancient architecture, sculpture, ceramics, small finds, coins and historical geography.
