Graduation Requirements
|
To graduate, students must successfully complete all courses in the program (a total of 240 ECTS credits) and achieve a minimum weighted grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00. In addition to the requirements stated under the qualifications and regulations, students are required to complete a 30-working-day internship.

|
Graduates of Plant Protection can work in the public or private sector. Major employment opportunities include the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Development, agro-industrial enterprises, agricultural cooperatives, inspection and certification bodies in agriculture and agriculture-related sectors, and non-governmental organizations.

Double Major / Minor Program
|
The Double Major Program enables students who meet the academic achievement requirements and other conditions to take courses simultaneously from two degree programs within the same higher education institution and obtain two separate diplomas.

The Minor Program enables a student enrolled in a degree program, provided that the prescribed requirements are met, to take a limited number of courses in a specific field within the same higher education institution and receive a minor certificate, which does not constitute a separate diploma.

Program Outcomes

- Applies knowledge in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Agricultural Engineering to solve complex engineering problems both theoretically and practically.
- Recognizes biotic and abiotic problems encountered in agricultural areas and determines their prevalence and levels of damage/benefit. Gains the ability to conduct technical analyses for solving plant protection problems in the laboratory and to evaluate, interpret, and report the results.
- Follows universal knowledge and developments in agriculture and communicates with professionals in the field.
- Learns the systematics, ecology, biology, and control methods of factors causing yield losses in cultivated plants.
- Gains the ability to identify plant protection problems encountered in crop production using contemporary techniques, analyze and interpret data, and select and apply evidence-based solution methods.
- Knows which plant protection methods should be used and how they should be applied to conserve natural resources and ensure sustainability.
- Gains the ability and self-confidence to work effectively both individually and in multidisciplinary teams and to assume responsibility; can plan and manage activities aimed at the professional development of those working under their responsibility.
- Understands the importance of lifelong learning in their career and continuously improves professional knowledge and skills by effectively using information technologies.
- Gains competence in communicating knowledge and ideas related to Plant Protection to relevant agricultural stakeholders through oral and written presentation techniques and in communicating with producers and implementing organizations.
- Provides consultancy, inspection, and expert witness services in the field of Plant Protection.
