Dear Students, Researchers, and Visitors,

As the Department of Plant Protection at the Faculty of Agriculture, Yozgat Bozok University, we are committed to developing scientifically based solutions that are sensitive to environmental and human health against harmful organisms that threaten productivity and sustainability in agricultural production. Our department carries out its education, research, and community service activities with an approach that develops innovative strategies for the management of plant diseases, pests, and weeds encountered in modern agriculture, adopts biological and integrated pest management methods, and combines traditional knowledge with modern science.

Rapidly changing climatic conditions, global food security concerns, and increasing environmental awareness have made plant protection science more important than ever. With this awareness, our department not only provides students with theoretical knowledge but also prepares them as well-equipped professionals for the field through laboratory practices, field studies, projects, and collaborations with the agricultural sector. Agricultural Engineers graduating from our department contribute to the agricultural development of our country as professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values required to work in both the public and private sectors.

With our strong educational and research infrastructure, qualified academic staff, and interdisciplinary research opportunities, we support the individual and professional development of our students. In addition, we share knowledge and experience with a wide network of stakeholders, ranging from local producers and public institutions to research organizations and other universities, and we play a leading role in developing scientific solutions to current challenges facing agriculture.

Our aim is to educate individuals who are guided by scientific thinking, capable of solution-oriented approaches, aware of the principles of sustainable agriculture, environmentally responsible, and committed to social responsibility. In line with this goal, as the Department of Plant Protection, we continue to carry out academic and applied studies that will contribute to the agricultural future of our country.
