Within the scope of the competition, a 2-seater electric vehicle must be produced in accordance with the regulations. Following technical inspections conducted to verify that the electric vehicle is built according to rules, vehicles produced by teams qualifying for the track are expected to cover a distance of 60 km within 65 minutes with minimum energy consumption. In addition, the components inside the electric car are expected to be produced with maximum domestic content (localization rate). Localization refers to development by the students of the respective team. The components specified within the scope of these electric car races are as follows:

  1. Motor

  3. Battery Management System (BMS)
  4. On-board charger unit
  5. Battery packaging
  6. Electronic differential application
  7. Vehicle Control System (VCS)
  8. Insulation monitoring device
  9. Steering system

As part of the competition, passenger vehicles built to specified dimensions on a track designed in accordance with the General Directorate of Highways standards are required to navigate according to traffic rules and reach the parking area autonomously. For this purpose, the vehicle must possess features such as traffic sign recognition, lane tracking, traffic light recognition, and stopping at obstacles, and it must make decisions autonomously.

Autonomous vehicle technology is quite new around the world. Therefore, this competition is of great importance for the development of this technology in our country.

In the competition, students are required to develop their own software and integrate it into the vehicle. The core software modules developed are as follows:

  4. Stopping at obstacles
  5. Decision-making mechanism
