The Computer Programming Program, one of the 13 associate degree programs within our vocational school, was approved and opened at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting on 13.02.2013. It started its educational activities in 2016. The Computer Programming Program is located under our department.

Education, training, and research activities in our department are provided by three Lecturers.

 

Program Educational Objectives

  • To train computer programmers equipped with up-to-date professional knowledge and skills by following the developments in the field of information technologies.
  • To train qualified computer programmers to meet the demands and needs of the sector.
  • To train qualified intermediate staff who have a good level of computer knowledge and can work in all areas of the informatics sector.

Program Educational Goals

  • To enable students to use programming languages and software development tools effectively.
  • To provide basic knowledge and skills in hardware and operating systems.
  • To increase the competence of developing applications and web pages using internet and web technologies.
  • To provide practical experience in the fields of database management, graphics-animation, and computer networks.
  • To support the upbringing of graduates as professionals who are ready for business life and adaptable to technology.

  • KPI 1. The employment rate of graduates in informatics, software, web, mobile, database, network systems, or information processing fields (50%)
  • KPI 2. The rate of successful students in applied vocational courses (70%)
  • KPI 3. The rate of students evaluated at a "satisfactory and above" level in internship/workplace evaluations (70%)
  • KPI 4. The satisfaction rate regarding the professional competencies gained from the program in graduate/employer surveys (70%)
  • KPI 5. The rate of students who have activities, projects, or documents in current technology, software development, database, web/mobile applications, or professional certificates/micro-credentials (25%)
