The Coordination Office for Non-Field Elective Courses was established pursuant to the University Senate Decision No. 9 dated 28 June 2018, with its procedures and principles of implementation being determined accordingly. A new course pool was created and made active in the 2020–2021 Academic Year.

These courses are designed to offer students a wide range of subjects suited to their interests and competencies, including community service, history, agriculture, science, culture and the arts, sports and health activities, environmental awareness, science and technology, as well as courses that support personal development and enhance transferable skills. These courses are approved by the relevant boards and offered to students under the “Non-Field Elective Courses” category in the curricula of each department during the relevant semesters.
