The Department of Turkish Language and Literature was opened in 1996-1997 academic year as an affiliate of Erciyes University Yozgat Faculty of Arts and Sciences and still continues its education program as an affiliate of Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The department started to accept students from 1996-1997 academic year and opened the second education program in 2008-2009 academic year. In our department, which has 5 main branches as New Turkish Literature, Turkish Folk Literature, Old Turkish Literature, New Turkish Language and Old Turkish Language, 1 Professor Dr., 2 Associate Professor Dr., 7 Dr. Lecturer and 2 Research Assistants. Member and 2 Research. There are 12 academic staff, including 1 Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 6 Lecturers and 3 Research Assistants.
