Duties: The Quality Committee is generally responsible for planning and monitoring the quality assurance processes carried out within the department in accordance with the relevant legislation and in line with the BKYS; coordinating the implementation of quality-related activities within the scope of the KAP; developing necessary improvement recommendations by taking into consideration the views of internal and external stakeholders and quality criteria; and contributing to the preparation and monitoring processes of the Departmental Internal Evaluation Report (BİDR) concerning the department’s quality activities.

Strategic Planning and Accreditation Committee

Duties: The Strategic Planning and Accreditation Committee is generally responsible for evaluating education and training and research activities in accordance with the department’s strategic plan objectives; reviewing relevant matters on the agenda of the Department Board from the perspective of strategic alignment and providing opinions; supporting the monitoring and updating of the curriculum, Program Educational Objectives, and Program Learning Outcomes in accordance with FEDEK criteria during accreditation processes; and coordinating the necessary evaluation and evidence documentation within the scope of the Self-Evaluation Report (ÖDR).

Education and Training Committee

Duties: The Education and Training Committee is generally responsible for planning, carrying out, and finalizing all procedures related to the education and training of department students, particularly scholarship processes, archiving and filing procedures, and summer school applications, in accordance with the relevant legislation. It also coordinates activities related to monitoring, evaluating, and updating the curriculum based on internal and external stakeholder feedback and needs analyses, while ensuring effective and efficient use of available resources throughout these processes.

Unit Academic Incentive Application and Review Committee

Duties: The Unit Academic Incentive Application and Review Committee is generally responsible for checking the documents and supporting materials submitted to the department by applicants seeking academic incentive payments in accordance with the relevant procedures and principles; evaluating scientific activities on a program/field basis; notifying applicants of any necessary corrections or missing documents; and submitting the results of the review to the Dean’s Office through the official procedures. (The composition of the committee may be updated annually depending on the academic performance and organizational structure of the relevant unit.)

Transfer and Course Equivalency Committee

Duties: The Transfer and Course Equivalency Committee is generally responsible for evaluating interdepartmental transfer, transfer from other institutions, and course equivalency requests in accordance with the relevant legislation and university/faculty implementation principles; examining the compatibility of students’ prior learning, courses, and credit/ECTS requirements; making the necessary course equivalency and adjustment arrangements; and communicating the results to the relevant academic and administrative units.

Graduation and Grade Review Committee

Duties: The Graduation and Grade Review Committee is generally responsible, within the framework of the relevant legislation, for examining the transcripts of students who have successfully completed their education and training period and are eligible for graduation by comparing them with the curriculum for verification purposes; comparing the examples of Faculty Board decisions regarding course equivalencies for students participating in the Farabi, Mevlana, and Erasmus Exchange Programs; and determining the graduation of students who have successfully completed the curriculum.

Publicity and Social Activities Committee

Duties: The Publicity and Social Activities Committee is generally responsible for planning and carrying out activities to promote the department; coordinating the organization of department seminars and academic/student-oriented events; conducting surveys to support student relations and feedback processes; and ensuring the regular monitoring and updating of the department’s web pages and the effective dissemination of announcements.

Minor / Double Major Committee

Duties: The Minor/Double Major Committee is generally responsible for carrying out Minor Program (YAP) and Double Major Program (ÇAP) processes in accordance with the relevant legislation and university implementation principles; evaluating quotas and application requirements; coordinating with other departments and conducting the necessary consultations regarding the programs; and ensuring that students are properly informed throughout the application and placement processes.
