Mission

The mission of the Department of Educational Sciences is to equip prospective teachers with contemporary professional teaching knowledge; to train school counsellors who are competent in both theory and practice; to educate specialists and researchers in the fields of curriculum and instruction, educational administration, and measurement and evaluation in education; and to contribute to the solution of the fundamental problems of the Turkish education system through scientific research, projects, and community service activities carried out in cooperation with national and international partners.

Vision

The vision of the Department of Educational Sciences is to become a department that is recognised at national and international level for the quality of its teaching and research; that educates teachers, counsellors, and specialists who are committed to democratic and ethical values, open to lifelong learning, capable of critical and multidimensional thinking, and able to transform theoretical knowledge into practice; and whose scientific output guides educational policy and practice.
