The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema aims to provide students with an interdisciplinary education across the three major forms of modern mass media. The objective of the undergraduate program in Radio, Television and Cinema is to train qualified professionals for the radio, television, and film industries. Department courses are organized into both theoretical and practical components. A strong intellectual and theoretical background is essential in the field of radio, television, and cinema; in this context, the program draws upon related social science disciplines such as sociology, politics, and philosophy. Core courses covering the foundational knowledge and ethical values of radio, television, and cinema are included in the curriculum. Alongside theoretical courses, practical classes such as filmmaking, photography, and video editing are also offered.

Having commenced operations during the 2017–2018 academic year at the Erdoğan Akdağ Campus, the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema originally featured 2 Assistant Professors and 1 Research Assistant under the Research Assistant Training Program (ÖYP).
