Examinations, Measurement and Evaluation
Every student is required to register for courses at the beginning of the semester and attend at least 70% of the courses in order to be eligible to take the end-of-semester exam. Students are subject to at least one midterm exam and a final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the final grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated out of 100 points. There is a mandatory requirement to score at least 50 points on the final exam. Students who receive one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC in a course are considered to have successfully passed that course. DC and DD grades are conditionally successful grades. For a student to be successful in a course in which they received a DC or DD grade, their cumulative grade point average (CGPA) must be at least 2.0.
Success Grade:
Points obtained from exams are evaluated out of 100 to determine the success score. The success status in a course is determined by the success grade. The success grade is determined by the joint evaluation of the in-semester success grade provided by the activities carried out during the semester belonging to that course and the success grade provided in the general exams held at the end of the semester. In-semester activities include attendance at classes and practices, practical work, assignments, projects, and similar works. In determining the student's in-semester success grade, these works may be evaluated together with the midterm exam at a certain rate in the last week of the semester specified in the academic-calendar.

Measurement Methods:
The methods used to measure whether the program learning outcomes envisioned throughout the Radio, Television and Cinema program are achieved are stated below:
Exams:
How successful students are in achieving the learning outcomes envisioned for each course unit included in the Radio, Television and Cinema Department program curriculum is measured through in-semester activities and final exams conducted at the end of each semester.
The evaluation of in-semester activities includes at least a midterm exam and/or an assignment as mandatory evaluation methods for all courses in undergraduate programs determined by regulations.
Programs are encouraged to define more evaluation methods in in-semester activities depending on the need to measure the success of results at the program and course level in order to achieve educational purposes and goals. The nature and number of evaluation methods used for each course, along with their contributions to the end-of-semester grade, are given under the "Measurement and Evaluation" heading in the course description sections. These regulations are announced in advance at the beginning of each semester, and course descriptions are published on the website.
Midterm and final exams are held on the dates, places, and times determined and announced by the university. Students' end-of-semester grades are given by the instructors based on the results of the midterm exam, assignment evaluation, quizzes, final exam, and other evaluation results, if any, also taking into account that students fulfill the attendance requirement.
The contribution of in-semester activities to the end-of-semester grade can be a maximum of 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is at least 40% and at most 60% for all courses in all undergraduate programs determined by regulations.
