The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema aims to thoroughly prepare students for professional life following graduation through an up-to-date curriculum that combines theoretical and practical education. Consisting of complementary courses progressing from theory to practice, the curriculum incorporates a wide range of elective courses tailored to the specific fields in which students wish to specialize. By taking cross-departmental elective courses alongside professional electives, students acquire the qualifications to stand out in their fields.

Equipped with a robust infrastructure featuring a radio studio, film workshop, and technical equipment such as lighting, sound, and cameras, our Department enables students to engage in creative work related to their field during practical courses. Our students can instantly apply the knowledge acquired in classes at Bozok FM Radio, which broadcasts to Yozgat and surrounding provinces, and the Film Workshop.

Since 2017, the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema has continued its efforts to train qualified human resources for the media sector. Having approximately 333 students as of the 2023–2024 academic year and producing its first graduates in 2021, our Department has graduated 99 students to date.

With an academic staff growing stronger each term, the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema employs a total of 9 academic staff members: 1 Associate Professor, 4 Assistant Professors, 2 Lecturers, and 2 Research Assistants.

Graduates of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema can work in radio, television, and film industries, as well as in news agencies, print media, video and advertising companies, public relations, corporate communications, political communication, and virtually all media-related sectors. Graduates are trained and employed in industry roles such as director, producer, cinematographer, screenwriter, and editor.
