Basic Foreign Language (English I, English II) Course Exemption Exam Announcement

For our students who enrolled in our University in the 2024-2025 academic year (or who enrolled last year but froze their registration before the exemption exam) Basic English Course exemption exam will be held for Undergraduate and Associate Degree students.

In order for our students not to encounter any problems with the exam, it is important that they read the following explanations carefully before applying.

       1. The exemption exam will be held on Monday, 23 September 2024 at 16:00 in the exam halls to be determined in the Faculty / School / Vocational School buildings where our students are registered.

       2. The exam will be face-to-face and proctored.

      3. Students who want to participate in the exam must apply using the application link at the bottom. The deadline for application is 20 September 2024 at 15.00.

      4. Students who have registered for the first time this academic year but do not have English I, English II courses should also apply for the exemption exam this year. (Students enrolled this year in the Preparatory Class of the Faculty of Theology and 1st year students of Vocational Schools are required to apply for the exemption exam this year).

       5. The halls where our students  will take the exam will be announced by the unit where they are registered. Students are required to have their valid identity documents with them to be checked before and/or during the exam.

       6. The exam consists of 25 questions.

       7. The exam duration is 30 minutes from the moment the student starts the exam.

       8. Since the Basic English Course Exemption exam cannot be made up for whatever reason, it is important that our students take their own precautions in order to avoid problems in participating in the exam. The responsibility in this regard belongs to our students.

      9. Students who score 50 and above at the end of the exam will be exempt from English I and English II courses. The letter grades of our students will be determined by the score they get from the exemption exam.

    10. Students who do not meet the conditions specified at the beginning of the announcement and whose registration year is before the 2024-2025 Academic Year cannot benefit from this exam. Students who are found not to meet the application requirements will be deemed invalid even if they have taken the exam.

We wish success to all our students.
