In the 2024-2025 Academic Year, an additional exemption exam will be held for the Basic English Course for our undergraduate and associate degree students who have enrolled in our University with additional placement.
In order for our students not to encounter any problems with the exam, it is important that they read the following explanations carefully before applying.
1. The Additional Exemption Exam will be held on Wednesday, 09 October 2024 at 16:30 in the exam halls to be determined in the following buildings.
2. Examination Locations:
a) a) Students of the Faculties / Vocational School located in the Centre Erdoğan Akdağ East Campus and Bilal Şahin West Campus will take the exam in the classrooms of the School of Foreign Languages (4th floor of the Faculty of Communication building).
b) Yozgat Vocational School students will take the exam in the exam halls to be determined in their own school buildings.
c) Students of our Higher School / Vocational School in our districts will take the exam in the exam halls to be determined in their own school buildings.
3. The exam will be administered face-to-face and proctored.
4. Students who want to participate in the exam must apply using the application link at the bottom. The deadline for application is 07 October 2024 Monday, 09:00.
5. Students who have registered for the first time this academic year but do not have English I, English II courses should also apply for the exemption exam this year. (Students enrolled in the Preparatory Class of the Faculty of Theology and 1st year students of Vocational Schools who enrolled with additional placement this year have the right to apply and take the exemption exam only this year).
6. Students are required to have their valid identity documents and student documents with them to be checked before and/or during the exam.
7. The exam consists of 25 questions.
8. The duration of the exam is 30 minutes from the moment the student starts the exam.
9. Since the Basic English Course Exemption exam cannot be made up for whatever reason, it is important that our students take their own precautions in order to avoid problems in participating in the exam. The responsibility in this regard belongs to our students.
10. Students who score 50 and above at the end of the exam will be exempt from English I and English II courses. The letter grades of our students will be determined by the score they get from the exemption exam.
11. Students who do not meet the conditions specified at the beginning of the announcement cannot benefit from this exam. The applications of our students who are found not to meet the application requirements will be deemed invalid.
