Program-Specific Learning Outcomes for the Department of Business Administration

PLO 1

To provide students with up-to-date and practice-oriented knowledge and skills about the business sector by enabling them to take courses delivered by industry professionals within the scope of the “Industry on Campus” courses.

PLO 2

To equip students with the ability to plan, control, and analyze production processes in businesses and to implement the necessary practices for solving problems encountered within the scope of Production and Operations Management principles; and to provide students with knowledge of contemporary production topics such as project management, CAD, CAM, and Industry 4.0.

PLO 3

To develop students’ ability to conduct scientific, consistent, and data-driven analyses by teaching the theories and applications of Business Mathematics and Operations Research, while also providing them with the knowledge and skills required to perform statistical analyses for business applications.

PLO 4

To equip students with the ability to record business transactions, prepare, read, and interpret financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and National and International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards, using modern tools and technologies enabled by digitalization. In addition, to develop students’ ability to make financial decisions and formulate long-term strategic projections by taking sustainability principles into consideration when analyzing the financial condition of businesses.

PLO 5

To develop students’ competence in producing solutions based on scientific and ethical principles in the areas of financial theories, practices, and technologies.

PLO 6

To equip students with competencies in understanding consumer behavior, analyzing market trends, developing innovative marketing solutions to address marketing problems, and making strategic decisions by teaching marketing theories, strategies, and practices, while also providing knowledge and skills in applied statistical analysis.

PLO 7

To equip students with the ability to carry out activities in management and organization, human resources management, strategic management, organizational behavior, and public relations in a sustainable manner to enable organizations to achieve their visions. In addition, the department-specific courses “Case Studies in Management” and “Management Readings” offer students an innovative perspective that integrates theory and practice.

PLO 8

To equip students with the skills required to use basic computer applications and conduct data analysis in solving quantitative business problems.

PLO 9

To provide students with knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing the management, supervision, and operations of businesses, and to develop their competence in drafting and implementing commercial contracts.
