The following objectives are envisioned to train professionals in the field of geological engineering, with the aim of identifying, measuring, and transforming the various characteristics of the Earth into usable information for the benefit of the country and humanity:
1. To train individuals who can study the Earth, its constituent materials, the physical fields acting on the Earth's crust and the changes they cause, the products they produce, the history of the Earth, fossilized life forms, and the chemistry of the materials that make up the Earth;
2. To train individuals who can discover water, mineral resources, and oil deposits in the Earth's crust;
3. To train individuals who can investigate the dynamics of the Earth's crust, predict potential hazards affecting human life, and plan preventative measures;
4. To train individuals who can identify instabilities in infrastructure for engineering structures and plan engineering designs to address them, and monitor their implementation;
5. To train individuals who can produce geological maps showing the various characteristics of the Earth's crust;
6. To train geological engineers who can utilize modern engineering tools and methods for all these studies, prioritize human health and safety, and embrace lifelong learning.
