1. What is the priority order for course registration?

Answer: In course registration, there is a priority order as follows: failed courses, courses not taken in lower semesters, and courses from higher semesters. (It is not possible to register for higher semester courses by skipping courses that may be offered in summer school.)

First-year students are required to take all courses offered in their curriculum according to the regulations. These students cannot take courses from higher semesters.

2. Is it possible to take courses offered in more than one branch from the desired branch?

Answer: The rules regarding taking courses from different branches are announced to our students by the Department Head at the beginning of each semester. Generally, students with odd-numbered semesters choose branches coded A, and students with even-numbered semesters choose branches coded B. Students retaking a failed course may be allowed to take courses from different branches due to scheduling conflicts. Furthermore, the branch selection principles for our courses with three branches are announced at the beginning of each semester.

3. How are the courses to be offered in the summer school determined?

Answer: The courses to be offered in the summer school are determined by the preference of the instructor who taught the course in the fall/spring semester, the approval of the relevant department, the decision of the Faculty Board, and the approval of the Senate. The minimum number of students required to offer a course in the summer school is determined annually by the University Board of Directors.

4. Is attendance compulsory?

Answer: Students are required to attend lectures, practicals, and exams. Student attendance is monitored by the course instructors. The attendance requirement is at least 70% for theoretical courses and at least 80% for practical courses. Students who do not meet these requirements cannot take the semester or year-end exams. (Calculate in hours.) Students who fail a course after attending it are not required to retake the course; however, students who fail practical courses may be required to retake the course.
