Mission

In line with our University's mission of becoming an institution that prioritizes quality in education, fosters entrepreneurship and innovation through its regional development-oriented specialization, anticipates and implements global transformations that contribute to the nation and humanity, generates knowledge, and leads processes of change, transformation, and development through the effective use of knowledge at all levels, the Department of Sociology is committed to educating highly qualified sociologists and researchers.

To achieve this mission, the Department provides an academic and intellectual environment that enables students to acquire the highest possible level of professional knowledge, methodological competence, practical skills, and research experience in sociological theory and research. Contributing not only to the advancement of sociology as an academic discipline but also to the social and economic development of our country constitutes the fundamental principle guiding the Department's academic activities.
