Mission

The primary objective of the department is to cultivate qualified sociologists and researchers by providing an academic and intellectual environment that helps students gain the best possible professional knowledge, skills, and experience in theory, methodology, and sociological research. A fundamental principle guiding the department’s research activities is to contribute significantly not only to the development of sociology as a discipline but also to the social and economic progress of the country.

Vision

Our working philosophy emphasizes advancing scientific knowledge to create and sustain a fair, peaceful, prosperous, and secure world for everyone. In line with this philosophy, our mission is to educate sociologists who can understand, explain, interpret, and critique the forces that shape, alter, and transform social life on both local and global levels. Additionally, the department strives to make scientific contributions toward the identification of social issues and the formulation of social, cultural, political, and economic policies aimed at solving these problems.
