Our department started its educational activities as the Department of Sociology in the 2014-2015 academic year and has graduated 437 students from the undergraduate program. Additionally, since 2014, the Master's program has been accepting students, with 12 students successfully completing their theses.

The department includes 5 Associate Professors and 2 Assistant Professors. The fields of Applied Sociology, Sociometry, Institutional Sociology, General Sociology, and Methodology are present within the department.

Since its establishment, the faculty members have produced 121 international journal articles, 7 books, 43 book chapters, 28 international conference presentations, and have completed 37 BAP (Scientific Research Projects).
