General Information:

Objective of the Program: To train qualified technical personnel who have internalized relevant concepts and principles, possess the skills to design projects required to establish new systems needed by the construction industry, ensure that manufacturing is carried out in compliance with relevant standards and earthquake regulations, have the knowledge and competence to ensure that all kinds of manufacturing in the construction sector are performed in accordance with technical requirements and can inspect them, and who can serve in both the public and private sectors.

Diploma and Title Earned by Graduates: Students who complete theoretical and practical courses in the Construction Technology Program and finish their 30-working-day summer internship are awarded an associate degree. Those holding this diploma receive the title of "Construction Technician" and can work in the public and private sectors.

Employment Areas of Graduates:

  1. Public Institutions and Organizations: General Directorate of Highways, Special Administrations, State Hydraulic Works, Municipalities, and All Public Institutions.

  2. Private Sector Enterprises: Engineering-Architecture Offices, Building Inspection Companies, Concrete Laboratories, Soil Mechanics Laboratories, Transportation Laboratories, Concrete Batching Plants, and Structure Laboratories.

Career Progression Opportunities: Individuals who complete the associate degree program can rise to managerial positions in their workplace depending on their performance. In addition, they can:

  • Enroll without an exam in the undergraduate programs of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty of Economics or Faculty of Business Administration to obtain a four-year faculty diploma, or

  • Transfer to Engineering or Architecture Faculties via the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). Those who make a vertical transfer receive the title of "Civil Engineer" or "Architect" upon graduation.
