In our country, students must pass the exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) to gain admission to universities. Based on the scores they receive on the exam, students list their program preferences and submit their preference forms to the Student Selection and Placement Center. ÖSYM collects all applications, groups them by score type, ranks the scores from highest to lowest, lists all available programs according to the preferred score type, and places students in one of the programs they have selected.
