026-2027 FALL SEMESTER ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND BACHELOR'S DEGREE PROGRAMS
INTER-INSTITUTIONAL (AVERAGE-BASED) HORIZONTAL TRANSFER ANNOUNCEMENT
Students applying for inter-institutional transfer to Yozgat Bozok University at the associate and undergraduate levels from other higher education institutions can submit their applications in accordance with the University's "Directive on Horizontal Transfer to Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Inter-Program Horizontal Transfer, Vertical Transfer, Student Status in Exchange Programs, Student Status in Simultaneous Learning, Special Student Status, Exemption and Adaptation Procedures".
Online transfer applications will be accepted between July 27, 2026 and August 7, 2026 at https://yataygecisbasvurugano.bozok.edu.tr/ .

Application Requirements

1. Transfers between universities are only permitted between higher education institutions offering equivalent degree programs, within the quotas announced by the Council of Higher Education.

2. Horizontal transfer is not permitted to the preparatory class of associate and bachelor's degree programs; to the first and last semesters of associate degree programs; and to the first two and last two semesters of bachelor's degree programs.

3. Students cannot apply for a transfer to a lower grade than their current grade.

4. For horizontal transfer, the student must have a cumulative weighted grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.29 at their current institution if they are from a university using the 4-point system (the YÖK grade conversion table is taken into account for different grading systems).

5. To transfer from open and distance learning programs to formal education programs, the student must have a GPA of at least 3.58 or higher on a four-point scale in their current program (the YÖK grade conversion table is taken into account for different grading systems) or their central placement score from the year they enrolled must be equal to or higher than the minimum score for the diploma program at the university they wish to transfer to in that year.

6. Pursuant to the relevant regulation amendment published in the Official Gazette dated 28.02.2026, in accordance with paragraphs 8 and 9 of article 7;

Students enrolled in non-compulsory educational programs abroad, such as open and distance learning, cannot apply for transfer to formal education programs within Turkey.

Students applying for transfer from foreign higher education institutions to higher education institutions in Turkey must document their stay in the relevant country during their studies with official documents obtained from passports, police departments, e-Government, or similar sources.

7. Except for lateral transfers based on central placement scores, the success score for lateral transfer applications is calculated by weighting the student's overall grade point average (GPA) at 50% and their ÖSYS/YKS/DGS/ÖZYES score from the year of enrollment in the relevant program's score type at 50%. However, for Medical, Dentistry, and Veterinary Faculties, the lateral transfer success score is calculated by weighting the student's overall GPA at 30% and their ÖSYS/YKS/DGS score from the year of enrollment in the relevant program's score type at 70%. GPAs from different grading systems are converted to the 4-point system using YÖK conversion tables. The following formula is used in the calculation:

8. Students at private universities in Turkey can apply for a transfer, provided they are in the top 10% of their class for the current academic year or have a GPA of at least 3.25 on a four-point scale (YÖK grade conversion table is considered for different grading systems) and can provide documentation of this, provided that the number of transfer applications does not exceed half of the available quotas for the relevant department/program. 9. Students cannot apply for a transfer to a lower grade than their current grade.
Documents to be uploaded to the system for online transfer application:

1. Barcoded OSYS Placement Results Document,
2. YKS/DGS/ÖZYES Result Document Showing Barcoded ÖSYS Score Types,
3. Barcoded Transcript (Grade report),
4. Student ID with Barcode,
5. Course Contents (Required for Medical Faculty applications; for other program applications, a transcript can be uploaded instead of course contents),
6. Students coming from private universities in Türkiye must bring a document stating that they are in the top 10% of their class for the current academic year. Students with a GPA of 3.25 will not be required to provide this document.
Documents Required During Final Registration
1- Photocopy of ID

3- Students applying for a lateral transfer to the Private Security and Protection Program must submit a comprehensive health report to the relevant unit in accordance with Article 10, paragraphs d, e, and f of Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services and Article 18 of the Regulation on the Implementation of Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services.
4. Students applying for transfer from foreign higher education institutions to higher education institutions in Turkey must document their stay in the relevant country during their studies with official documents obtained from passports, police departments, e-Government, or similar sources.
Original copies of the documents uploaded to the system must be submitted to the relevant unit during the final registration process.
Evaluation of Applications

Applications are evaluated by the relevant unit's board of directors, in accordance with the principles determined by the Senate. The evaluation results for candidates applying for transfer to each degree program are announced on the unit's webpage, ranked according to the scores used in the evaluation .

Since all evaluation processes will be based on the documents uploaded to the system, it is important that the documents are complete.
