Granting of Permits Related to Private Security
Uniforms and Equipment
Article 22 - The uniforms and other elements complementing the uniform to be worn by private security officers cannot be in the same color, form, and motif as those used by the Turkish Armed Forces, general law enforcement forces, and special law enforcement forces established by law. After the uniforms, elements complementing the uniform, and equipment are determined by the private security units, they are submitted to the Commission for approval. The uniform shall include the company's identifying name, mark, or logo. The uniforms, elements complementing the uniform, and equipment to be used by private security companies shall be approved by the Ministry.
Private security officers wear vests over their uniforms during night shifts, sporting events, concerts, and stage performances. These vests, bearing the words "PRIVATE SECURITY" (as shown in Annexes 4/A and 4/B, amended as of RG-26/9/2009-27358), reflect light from the back of the vest.
