
The Department of Political Science and Public Administration, established within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yozgat Bozok University, started its operations in the 2016-2017 academic year with 120 students in both regular and evening programs. The language of instruction is Turkish. Graduates of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration receive a bachelor's degree with the title of "POLITICAL SCIENCE AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION EXPERT."
Students wishing to register in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration must have succeeded in the exams conducted by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center) in accordance with the academic and legal regulations of the university. Horizontal transfers between institutions and intra-university horizontal transfers between equivalent diploma programs are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the "Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" and the principles determined by the Senate.
The aim of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Yozgat Bozok University is to train experts who understand political, social, and economic changes at national and international levels and who prioritize the country's beliefs, values, interests, and goals within the context of culture and civilization. The Department of Political Science and Public Administration includes three sub-disciplines: Political Science and Social Sciences, Management Science, and Urbanization and Environmental Issues. In this context, our department has a curriculum that is closely related to disciplines such as law, economics, sociology, history, geography, and social psychology. The Political Science and Social Sciences Main Branch involves concepts, events, and phenomena within the political science field, highlighting their significance and effects on Turkish and global politics. The Management Science Main Branch focuses on public organizations at local and national levels, public policy formation, management, and implementation. Thus, the discipline includes program management (planning, decision-making, organizing, managing, implementation, and evaluation) and resource management (human resource management and budgeting). The Urbanization and Environmental Issues Main Branch, in close association with sociology, law, and political and social sciences, is a discipline that covers the urbanization process and policies at local and national levels, as well as ecology and environmental issues.
