The Department of Political Science and Public Administration, operating within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yozgat Bozok University, aims to educate individuals equipped with contemporary knowledge and skills in the fields of public administration, political science, urbanization, environmental issues, and local governments; capable of analytical thinking; aware of their social responsibilities; and committed to ethical values.
Education in our department is conducted through a multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach drawing on political science, administrative sciences, public policy, constitutional and administrative law, urbanization and environmental policies, international relations, economics, sociology, history, and other disciplines within the social sciences. Through courses that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications, our students develop the ability to analyze current issues in public administration, formulate solutions, and adapt to changing approaches to governance.
Our department adopts an educational approach centered on contemporary principles of governance, such as democratic governance, transparency, accountability, participation, sustainable development, digital transformation, and effective public administration. Accordingly, our students are supported in developing their critical thinking, research, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Our academic activities are enriched not only through undergraduate education but also through scientific research, seminars, conferences, career events, technical visits, and various social activities. The Department of Political Science and Public Administration aims to train qualified human resources needed by the public sector, local governments, independent regulatory and supervisory authorities, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector through its educational and research activities conducted under the disciplines of Political and Social Sciences, Administrative Sciences, and Urbanization and Environmental Issues.
