Department History;

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration, operating within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yozgat Bozok University, commenced its undergraduate educational activities by admitting students in the 2016–2017 academic year. The department admits students through the Equal Weight (EA) score type within the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), administered by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), and currently continues its educational activities with a student quota of 40.

Since its establishment, the department has adopted a contemporary approach to public administration and aims to provide high-quality education in the fields of political science, administrative sciences, urbanization and environmental policies, and public policy. With its continuously developing academic staff, regularly updated curriculum, and student-centered educational approach, the department adopts an educational model that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

Today, in addition to undergraduate education, the Department of Political Science and Public Administration supports the academic, professional, and personal development of its students through scientific research, seminars, conferences, career events, technical visits, and social responsibility activities. The department continues its activities with an educational approach that prioritizes scientific production and social contribution while aiming to train qualified human resources needed by public institutions and organizations, local governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.
