An Departmental Orientation Program was organized by the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Yozgat Bozok University, to help students become more familiar with the department and facilitate their adaptation to university life.
The program began with an opening speech by the Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Korkmaz. Following the opening remarks, students were provided with information about the department’s academic structure, educational activities, and general operations. The program also included an introduction to the department’s academic staff, as well as guidance on university procedures and relevant university websites that students may need throughout their academic journey.
As part of the orientation program, double major and minor programs were introduced, and students were informed about the opportunities these programs offer to support their academic development. In addition, a reading list of books in the fields of political science and public administration was provided to students to support their academic and intellectual growth.
The program, which was important in helping students become familiar with the department’s academic opportunities, make effective use of the facilities offered by the university, and make an informed start to their academic journey, concluded with informational and introductory activities.
