An Orientation Program for New Students Was Held at Our Faculty

The orientation program for students newly enrolled in our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:30 AM in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Conference Hall.
During the program—organized to help students adapt more easily to university and faculty life, familiarize themselves with the systems used in their educational processes, and access essential information needed at the start of their academic journeys—presentations covering various topics were delivered.

The program began with an opening speech by the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Doğan. In his address to the new students, Prof. Dr. Doğan offered general insights regarding the adjustment to university life, academic development, and the overall faculty experience. He expressed his hope that the new academic term would be both productive and successful for the students.
Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Kesebir provided information on the use of BOYSIS. This session aimed to help students better understand the system—a key tool in their educational journey—and to raise awareness regarding the essential operations they might need to perform during their studies.

The program also featured an informative session on combating addiction, led by Assistant Professor Sema Dalkılıç. This segment focused specifically on addressing online betting, games of chance, and gambling, with the aim of raising student awareness regarding the risks associated with these activities.
In the section dedicated to student affairs, Osman Ülker from the Student Affairs Office provided information about the Student Information System (OBS). The session introduced the system that students will utilize throughout their university education and conveyed essential information to ensure the smooth management of academic and administrative processes.

The orientation program aimed to ensure that our students begin their university journey well-prepared not only for academic processes but also for the administrative and social aspects of university life. In addition to introducing key systems integral to student life—such as BOYSIS and OBS—the program provided information on combating addiction, thereby helping students lead a conscious and safe university life.
Our faculty will continue to support new students in adapting to university life, contribute to their academic and personal development, and conduct informative activities regarding matters relevant to their educational journey.
We extend a warm welcome to all students who have newly joined our faculty and wish them success in their academic endeavors.
