As part of COP31, which will be held in Antalya from 9–20 November 2026, the Yozgat Bozok University COP31 Action Plan has been put into effect to ensure the University’s active and high-quality participation in the COP-SCIENCE process coordinated by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE). Overall responsibility for the process will be undertaken by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör YILMAZ, while institutional coordination and secretarial services will be carried out by the Sustainability Coordination Office.
Within this framework, an internal call will be issued to all academic units on 22 July 2026; project and participation proposals must be submitted by 31 July 2026; the proposals will be evaluated from both scientific and institutional perspectives between 1–4 August 2026; the English versions of the selected projects will be prepared and reviewed between 5–9 August 2026; and a single institutional form to be submitted on behalf of the University must be entered into the system no later than 12 August 2026, following approval by the Rectorate.
In the evaluation process, priority will be given to projects that have been implemented, have reached the prototype stage, have generated measurable environmental or social outcomes, and have potential for international or industry collaboration. The University also plans to establish a balanced and high-quality portfolio of projects and to prepare a side-event proposal entitled “Industrial Hemp, Circular Bioeconomy and Climate-Resilient Regional Development.”
Transportation, accommodation, and participation expenses for projects and participation proposals deemed eligible will be considered within the framework of BAP (Scientific Research Projects) funding opportunities and the relevant legislation. In addition, a YOBÜ COP31 Climate Solutions Workshop will be organized for projects that are considered high-quality but are not deemed suitable for submission through the official notification process.
