Our Faculty Students Visited TİHEK, the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, and the Presidential National Library

On 17 June 2026, our Faculty students visited several public institutions in Ankara as part of a technical field trip, gaining the opportunity to observe human rights practices, legislative processes, and public administration practices firsthand. The field trip attracted considerable interest from students of our Department.

As the first stop of the program, our Faculty students visited the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (TİHEK). The students were welcomed by Selma Öztürk Pınar, a Member of the TİHEK Board and a fellow citizen from Yozgat. During the visit, the students were informed about the institution’s areas of responsibility, the protection of human rights, combating discrimination, and efforts to promote and implement the principles of equality.

During the visit, Selma Öztürk Pınar expressed her wish to organize a program at Yozgat Bozok University at the earliest opportunity, where she could meet with our students.

As part of the program, our Faculty students proceeded to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM), where they were informed about the functioning of the Assembly, legislative activities, and the work of parliamentary committees. Particular attention was given to the duties and working procedures of Parliamentary Investigation Committees, while the students also had the opportunity to observe the proceedings of the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye from the visitors’ gallery.

As part of their visit to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM), our Faculty students also met with Süleyman Şahan, Member of Parliament for Yozgat and a member of the Planning and Budget Commission, and Abdulkadir Akgül, Member of Parliament for Yozgat and President of TESKOMB. The students exchanged views with the Members of Parliament on public administration, legislative activities, and decision-making processes.

As the final stop of the technical field trip, the Presidential National Library, located within the Presidential Complex, was visited. Our Faculty students had the opportunity to explore firsthand the library’s academic study areas, digital resources, and research facilities, making it one of Türkiye’s important centers of knowledge and research.

Through the technical field trip, our Faculty students reinforced their theoretical knowledge of human rights, democracy, legislative activities, and the functioning of public institutions through practical experience, while gaining valuable insights and experiences that contributed to their professional and academic development.

Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences continues to support practical educational activities that enable its students to gain firsthand knowledge of public institutions, democratic processes, and decision-making mechanisms, alongside their academic development.
