History: The Department of Economics was established within the scope of Yozgat Bozok University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 01/03/2006 and numbered 5467, and with the announcement published in the Official Gazette dated 17/03/2006. It started education in 2008-2009 with 51 students. It currently has nearly 400 students. It contains; It continues its education and training activities with 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor and 9 Doctoral Faculty Members. The language of education is Turkish. Graduates who have a bachelor's degree after graduation receive the title of "economist". In addition, thesis master's program was opened in 2018, and a doctoral program was opened in 2024.
